Abstract

With the Chinese economy growing, our international influence is gradually increasing , all the world eager to learn our country, and publicity propaganda is becoming more and more important. And with the development of the world tourism market, more and more foreign tourists were interested to China by Chinese history and culture, tourism publicity texts, as a bridge of people between different ideas and culture can promote understanding between the countries, are becoming very important. Owing to the differences in culture and language background, the conflict between Chinese tradition and foreign tourists appears. How to attract foreign tourists and how to promote China tourism text and introduce local culture, all of which has a direct bearing on the further development of China tourism text translation. Through the error analysis of English translation of Chinese tourism text and exploration to translation methods, the thesis attempts to improve the tourism translation and make the China tourism text become globally shared resources and also hope that the study will be of help for the translation practice.

The Analysis of Ambiguity Phenomenon in the Translation of Chinese Tourist Texts With the growth of China?s economy and its international influence, more and more foreign visitors begin to get interested in Chinese history and culture. In addition, nowadays economic globalization is an inevitable trend for economic development in the world. For the past few years, international travel is becoming more and more frequent, and the trend of tourism globalization is becoming more and more evident. China has achieved exceptionally rapid economic growth in recent years, which makes more foreigners travel to the big oriental country, China. With China's accession to the World Trade Organization,and the successfully held and successfully completed of the Beijing Olympic Games, the Shanghai World Expo, Shenzhen World University Games, China is taking close steps to the world, which makes China more attractive and heartening. What is more, China is a stable country, and the Chinese people are warm and friendly, which makes the foreigners visit to China feel at home. Consequently, a more open China, a rapidly developing China, and a stable China is attracting more and more tourists from all over the world.

China has been attracting different tourists from all over the world for its mysterious oriental culture, and has become the first travel destination of foreign tourists. China has a long history and an extremely rich civilization, the glorious sceneries. With the development of Chinese civilization, a lot of beautiful scenic spots and historical sites have been preserved on this ancient oriental land. The magnificent ancient buildings, and a large number of historical sites lay a key foundation for the study of ancient Chinese culture and history. China has the diverse natural geographical conditions, the sceneries of north and south, east and west are different, many high mountains and big rivers are rich in animal and plant resources, all of these excellent geographical conditions forms the numerous natural landscapes. In 1985,China joined the world cultural and natural heritage protection agreement. So far, China has 47 items listed on the world heritage list, including 10 natural heritage sites, 33 cultural heritages, 4 natural and cultural heritages.
