We’re throwing a surprise party for Xiaoming’s birthday. I hope you can come and join us if it is convenient to you. The party will take place on Friday evening from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Students’ Club. During the party, we’ll sing “Happy Birthday” to him with the candles on. I am sure Xiaoming will be very happy and moved. After that, we’ll cut the birthday cake prepared for him in advance and share it together. What’s more, we decide to play some games afterwards. By the way, don’t forget to prepare a little gift when you come. I am sure we’ll enjoy ourselves together.

The party will be held at the Students’ Club from 8 p. m. this Friday and it will last about one hour. Now that it is a surprise for Xiaoming, you’d better prepare a little gift when you come. The party will begin with a “Happy Birthday” song, wishing Xiaoming happy and healthy. When the song is over, we will enjoy the delicious birthday cake. Besides, we’ll play some games for pleasure. I am sure everybody will have a good time and regard it as an unforgettable experience.

I’m a regular reader of your newspaper. I like it very much mainly for the following two reasons. Equally attractive are the success stories of world-famous people, which help me understand how a person can work hard to make the world a better place.

I remember you told me you were interested in teaching in China. Our school now is looking for a native-speaker to teach some courses to senior high students. If you come, you can choose three of the following four courses: Speaking, Writing,BritainToday and America Today, and teach 12 hours a week. The students who are going to take these courses have at least three years of English learning experiences. Besides teaching, you will also work as an advisor to our students’ English club or our school’s English newspaper.
