Liz Woodward, the 24-year-old girl, has never expected her small act* of kindness could change her and her father’s life.

Liz was a waitress at a New Jersey diner. One early morning, while Liz was working, two firemen, Tim and Paul went into the diner for breakfast From their conversations, Liz learned the two men had worked tirelessly for 12 hours to clear out a fire. She decided to show them her thanks. Without saying a word, the young waitress paid for their meals and left them a note on the back of the bill, explaining why she had done it.
