Abstract
This article mainly talks about some similarities and differences between Jane Eyre》and《Pride And Prejudice》. After giving a brief introduction of the two novels, I firstly discuss their similarities on heroines. They are both desire to equality and long for love. Afterwards, I talk the similarities on the heroes. At last, I state the differences of the two novels and what cause these differences.

The Comparison between 《Jane Eyre》and《Pride
And Prejudice》
《Jane Eyre》and《Pride And Prejudice》are two famous English novels which are regarded as literary treasures. They are written by Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austen respectively. The two books are mainly on the subject of love, but unless those novels which emphasize on the great of love, these two books tell us that love are based on equality. The authors set up two great women images before readers: insisting on maintaining an independent personality, pursuiting of individual freedom, advocating equality of life. Ⅰ A brief introduction of the two novels
《Jane Eyre》mainly talks about a brave woman whose name is Jane. She becomes an orphan when she is very young and lives with her aunt. Her aunt treats her badly. Afterwards, she is sent to a charitable concern——Lowood School. At there, she suffers a lot from the difficult environment. When Jane gets to Thornfield Hall as a governess, she falls in love with Rochester, the owner of there, but after finding Mr. Rochester has a mad wife, Jane left. Later, Mr. Rochester cripples in a fire which made by his mad wife. Jane finally comes back to him to take care of him. Jane’s brave struggling for freedom and equality brings to their happiness of love.
《Pride And Prejudice》portrays characters in the genteel rural society of the day, and tells of the initial misunderstandings between Elizabeth Bennet and the haughty Darcy. Elizabeth thinks Darcy was too arrogant and refuses him first. But because of the change on attitude of Darcy, they are finally together.
